Anyone who has visited me at my home office have remarked how stark and boring my walls are. I have literally nothing hanging on my office walls. I tend to get bored so fast with things on the wall that I end up wasting money. Now that I have an excellent color laser printer, I can print out really cool stuff to hang on the walls if I want to. But what if I want something bigger? What do I do?
I could always head over to Block Posters to create any size wall posters from any size images. It’s completely free, and very easy to use. I can upload any image I choose, and tell the service how many pages of paper to use for the poster width. Once you finish making your selections, save your image as a PDF file to your computer. Print it out and presto! You now have a huge pixel poster you can hang on your wall.
You’ll have to tape or somehow stick the pages together, of course. You could get fancy, and affix the sheets to cardboard. Then, use a clear sealant over the top of the whole thing… which you can buy inexpensively at any craft store. This will make sure that your poster doesn’t fade over time, and the cardboard will help keep it from being torn or ruined.
One tip I have is to make sure you upload pictures that are as high in megapixels as possible. A picture that is 640×480, for example, wouldn’t look good printed on one 8×10 sheet… let alone blown up to poster size! Use the largest mp that your camera will put out for you.
